The Class 1 is for:

1. Chemicals for use in industry, science and photography, as well as in agriculture, horticulture and forestry;
2. Unprocessed artificial resins and plastics;
3. Fire extinguishing and fire prevention compositions;
4. Tempering and soldering preparations;
5. Substances for tanning animal skins and hides;
6. Adhesives for use in industry;
7. Putties and other paste fillers;
8. Compost, manures, fertilizers; and
9. Biological preparations for use in industry and science.

This Class does not include:

1. Raw natural resins (Class 2);
2. Semi‑processed resins (Class 17);
3. Chemical preparations for medical/veterinary use (Class 5);
4. Fungicides, herbicides, pesticides (Class 5);
5. Adhesives for household/stationery (Class 16);
6. Salt for preserving food (Class 30); and
7. Straw mulch (Class 31).
