Do YOu Know ICT Sales TAx on Services!

Federal Board of Revenue levies and collects sales tax on services under the Islamabad Capital Territory (Tax on Services) Ordinance, 2001 (the Ordinance) which are rendered in the jurisdictional limits of the Islamabad Capital Territory.

Under the Table 1 and 2 of the Ordinance, the sales tax on services is:

  2. Reduced rate – 5% without adjustment of input tax credit
  3. Zero rate – 0%
  4. Exempted Services

Clarification

These services sales tax rates are applicable from 1st July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The Federal Finance Act 2026 did not change any sales tax on services rendered in ICT neither amended any single clause of the ICT Ordinance. So, the rates are same for the FY 2026-27 as they were for the FY 2025-26.
