How to create account of foreigner on SECP eZfile

You are a foreigner! Wants to register your business as limited liability company in Pakistan! SECP is the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan that regulates capital market and corporates operating in the country.

In order to create your account on eZfile, you should have your valid passport, foreign mobile number and email address.

For registering your business in Pakistan, passport is not necessary. SECP will require further information and documents. I will discuss it at end of this article. Let’s create your account first. 

Simple steps to create account of foreigner on eZfile

1. Go on SECP eZfile portal (its another name is LEAP).
2. Click on SIGN UP at right hand top corner.
3. Select “Foreign National” and click on PROCEED.
4. Add your information like first name, last name, passport number, passport expiry date, foreign mobile number, email address and occupation (select BUSINESS in occupation).
5. After adding your information, click on NEXT.
6. Next pop-up will appear where you will create your password. Your password length must be in between 10 to 16 characters with at least 1 lower case, 1 upper case and 1 special character. Don’t start your password with space or any special character.
7. After creating your password, click on DONE.
8. eZfile will send four-digit code at provided email address.
9. Enter four-digit code then click on VERIFY.
10. After the verification, you will see CONGRATULATIONS message on a pop-up.

In the end, SECP will send you PIN via email. Save this PIN. It will work as your digital signature when you submit your application of company registration.

SECP requirements for foreign investors, shareholders and directors

You have opened a gateway to register your limited company in Pakistan by creating your account on eZfile. You need to provide following documents for your business registration in Pakistan:

1. A signed and attested undertaking (SECP format) on Pakistani legal paper.
2. Your biodata (on SECP format).
3. Copy of valid visa to Pakistan.
4. Passport size photograph with plane background (of blue or white)

SECP will register your company when you provide complete documents. After it, they will send your documents to the Ministry of Interior (Pakistan) for verification. If the Ministry does not clear you, then you need to withdraw from the ownership of your business. If you are a genuine person, Ministry normally clears.
